With Toshiba's Wi-Fi Direct offering, printing and scanning is available from a mobile device. A direct connection to the MFP without an access point is established, and only a simple setting is required to ensure security. Wired or wireless LAN can be used simultaneously when you utilise Wi-Fi Direct.
Even if business travelers and visitors are in a hurry to print out data, they cannot use the MFP because they are not allowed to join the network to which the MFP is connected. It is troublesome to send data to someone who can access the MFP to print it out. However, there is a concern about security if anyone can easily access the MFP. It would be convenient if security were ensured and access to the MFP were enabled.
The Toshiba e-BRIDGE Next MFP that complies with the Wi-Fi Direct standard allows you to access the MFP not via the in-house network. Even business travellers and visitors are allowed to access the MFP, print data or capture scan data from wireless LAN compatible devices, such as smartphones, tablets and computers. A simple but secure connection is established, thus Wi-Fi Direct is easily available without changing the in-house LAN environment. As similar security to that when connected via wireless LAN is provided, security is ensured.
